BEHIND THE SCRUBS,
She moves faster
Her heart racing
Her beautiful eyes damp
She is a young doctor
She is in her own league
And evidently unique
As she helps the hopeless
Her only source of closure
Her pride isn’t hers
Her joy she traded for them
Oh what kinda of a life it is
To be a medical doctor,
Like a baby she cries
As a broken soul she bleeds
As she battles rejection and insult
Just for being a doctor
Love is her armor
Dedication is her ammo
For it’s a choice she made
To be a medical doctor.
